Today we would like to shine a spotlight in our “Dalaga Dress Collection”, Ia’s Threads first ever dress designs which debuted in New York Fashion Week September 2018.
Some of you may know that this collection was made in our designer’s desire to connect cultural differences through fashion. These dresses are infused with exotic vibe and with modern interpretation of Filipiniana dresses as you can see in the shoulder patters.
Now we would like to share the value and impact behind this collection. As The New York Fashion Week was fast approaching, the team thought long and hard in how this collection will align in our brand’s mission to lead a revolutionary change for people and planet through ethical and sustainable fashion. That’s when we decided to join the #ZeroWasteFashion Movement and made these dresses from post consumer textiles. Each look in the collection has been constructed from waste trimmings, waste fabrics, and unwanted hats and textiles from local businesses. We are proud in taking our part in this movement for the better of our planet. Sustainable reuse of fashion, textiles, and accessories not only help our planet but also give that guilt free luxury wear when you flaunt these dresses.
